The College of Charleston and Trident Technical College (TTC) have established a new pathway to help students navigate their entry into college.  The two institutions have developed a bridge program titled “Connect2”.   connect2

This residential program allows students to live at the Campus Center Apartments near the College of Charleston campus and take advantage of programs and events on campus while enrolled full time at Trident Technical College.  Participants will also take one for-credit course in the fall and one in the spring at the College of Charleston as non-degree seeking students.

After two semesters, the students then transfer TTC credits to the College of Charleston.  Students will enroll at the College of Charleston to complete their four-year degrees.

“This residential bridge program provides South Carolina students access to a four-year college experience beginning at the freshman level,” says Don Burkard, Associate VP for Enrollment Planning at the College of Charleston. “Participants who are South Carolina residents will be able to use LIFE scholarships or SC Lottery Tuition Assistance for the program.  The collaboration between College of Charleston and Trident Technical College provides a longstanding, quality undergraduate experience for Lowcountry students and those seeking to come to Charleston from across the state.”

This program is limited to 30 students in this inaugural year.  To qualify for the program, students must apply for fall 2014 freshman admission to the College of Charleston.  A full packet of information will be sent to qualified students.
