When Rivers Green is home to puppies and a rave in the same day, it can only mean one thing: Cougar Countdown. The annual stress-relieving event kicks off on Reading Day, April 25, 2013 and continues through May 3, the last day of final exams.
“We understand how stressful final exams can be,” says coordinator Lindy Coleman. “And we know that students de-stress in different ways. That’s why we plan a wide variety of activities from daily coffee breaks to massages and workouts.”
One of the most popular events is Puppies on the Green, when Pet Helpers will bring puppies for students to pet and play with to distress. This event will take place on Friday, April 26 from noon until 3 p.m. on Rivers Green (behind Addlestone Library). New this year is Rave on the Green, which will take place on Friday at 9 p.m. Glow sticks will be provided, everyone is welcome.
