College Named Top 10 School by About.Com

The College of Charleston has been ranked among the top ten public liberal arts colleges by the About.com website.

The About.com’s “Guide for College Admissions” list includes public colleges that place an emphasis on quality teaching and undergraduate education. Each school has a liberal arts curriculum and fewer than 10,000 undergraduate students.

The College of Charleston is the only South Carolina school to make the list.

According to the site, the College of Charleston “is grounded in the liberal arts and sciences, but students will also find thriving pre-professional programs in business and education.”

Since 1996, About.com has continually provided expert information on a large range of topics. The site covers more than 88,000 topics and adds more than 1,600 pieces of new content each week.
