The College of Charleston will host one of the most important feminist scholars of the last several decades on Friday, August 31, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the College of Charleston’s Sottile Theatre. bell hooks will present “Writing Beyond Race,” a presentation exploring what it means to live a life that combines political passions and personal commitments. Food and cinema are essential components of the Italian culture and they will be brought together at the College of Charleston in a lecture by an internationally-known professor. Cristina Bragaglia will present a lecture on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. in the Robert Scott Small Building. The title of Bragaglia’s lecture is “Italian Food in Italian Cinema” and this event is free and open to the public. Read More

The Atlas Economic Research Foundation selected the Initiative for Public Choice and Market Process (IPCMP) as a 2012 Templeton Freedom Award recipient.
