The College of Charleston will host an Open House for interested students and their families on Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. An opening session will be held from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. in the Carolina First Arena. More information.

From 12:00 to 3:00 p.m., students and their families will have the opportunity to learn more about academic programs and hear from professors, and learn about student services. They will also be able to take tours of campus and check out inside residence halls. The College of Charleston men’s basketball team will be playing in their first exhibition game at 4:00 p.m. in the Carolina First Arena. Tickets are $5 and may be purchased prior to the game.

“This is an opportunity for prospective students to talk with current students and find out what life is like at the College of Charleston,” said Susan Oakes, associate director of admissions. “Applications are already pouring in and we expect even more students to apply following their experience this weekend.”

A campus ghost tour will also be offered on Friday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. This tour is for entertainment purposes only and does not cover information about the College of Charleston or admissions.

The College is also hosting an Honors Exploration Day and Multicultural Overnight Visit Experience (M.O.V.E.) on Friday, October 28. M.O.V.E. is full, but registration is still open for the Honors Exploration Day. Get more information on the Honors College Exploration Days or more information on M.O.V.E.
