The College of Charleston’s Marlene and Nathan Addlestone Library is conducting a two-week school supply drive from November 14, 2011 through November 23, 2011. Donations will be accepted at the circulation desk and will benefit the Teachers’ Supply Closet (TSC), a local community benefit organization dedicated to providing free school supplies to tri-county schools with the highest poverty rates. Stay in De Boat, a short but powerful film made by College of Charleston students and alumni, will premiere on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. in room 235 of the Robert Scott Small building. College of Charleston Master of Environmental Studies candidate Dylan Murphy ’07 is combining his passions to clean up waterways in South Carolina, and soon, across the nation. Murphy’s Clean Marine app debuted on the Android Market in September 2011 and will soon be available in the Amazon Appstore. The free app streamlines the process for boaters to report large debris in waterways. Read More
