The College of Charleston welcomes hundreds for Family Weekend from October 1st through 3rd. Families will attend a variety of events showcasing everything from campus life and academics to our historic and modern buildings, as well as life in the City of Charleston.

On Friday, October 1, families will enjoy an Oyster Roast and Silent Auction in the Stern Center Garden, Jazz at Night in the Simons Center and bingo in the Stern Center Ballroom.

Saturday kicks off with a 5K Fun Run/Walk as well as tours of the President’s House and the Honors College. There will be opportunities to meet professors, learn about the study abroad experience as well as have a conversation with President Benson. Anjelah Johnson, former cast member of MADtv, will finish the night in Sottile Theatre with a stand-up comedy performance. The weekend will conclude a brunch on Sunday morning before families head for home.

“Family Weekend is an opportunity for parents to see how students live and to explore campus and the city,” says Susan Payment, director of student life. “You can also meet other parents to swap stories and ask questions of the President of the College.”
