The College of Charleston’s School of Business and BB&T will present a seminar on financing solutions for exporters on September 16, 2010 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m.  The seminar will be held in Room 202 of the Tate Center for Entrepreneurship at 5 Liberty St. on the College’s campus.

Registration and breakfast will run from 8:00 to 8:30 a.m.  The seminar will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 11:15 a.m.

Topics to be covered by the BB&T banking officers include: methods of payment (letters of credit, drafts and acceptances, and documentary collections), foreign exchange (payments in foreign currencies, factors/trends in the FX markets), pre-export financing (working capital guarantees from the Export-Import Bank of the US) and post-export financing (foreign receivables factoring, private export credit insurance).

Any member of the business community who is responsible for export-related decisions (CEOs, CFOs, international sales and marketing executives, export managers, controllers, credit managers and finance officers) will find this seminar informative and useful.

There is no fee to attend the seminar.  But, because space is limited, registration is required.  Please email Christine Chan of BB&T at BBTIntlWorkshop@bbandt.com or phone her at (704) 954-1109 by September 1, 2010 to register.
