The College of Charleston is hosting a summer college preparatory program for first generation and/or multicultural high school students who are interested in higher education.  Students will spend six days and five nights on campus from July 18-23, 2010. The deadline for applications is June 25 and the total cost to attend is $50.

Students will have the opportunity to interact with current College of Charleston students, attend college classes, and experience all that the beautiful and lively city of Charleston has to offer.  Every student will also complete a practice SAT/ACT combination exam and an application to the College of Charleston.  Students will visit the Medical University of South Carolina and the Charleston School of Law. Time management and writing skills will be emphasized throughout the program.

“This is a great opportunity for students to check out the residence halls, food, facilities and people at the College of Charleston,” says Debbie Counts, associate director of admissions.
