Hundreds of College of Charleston students, faculty, staff and alumni contribute to Spoleto Festival USA and the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. You’ll see them center stage and back stage – they’re also the people who tear your tickets and guide you to your seat.

The College’s School of the Arts also plays an integral role with faculty and students starring in dozens of events. The Department of Theatre presents its Stelle di Domani (“stars of tomorrow”) series, boasting 10 events, as part of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival.

Already events that are part of this series have received glowing reviews:

Alumnus David Lee Nelson in “Status Update”

Students in “Lone Star”

Crescent Stage, comprised of alumni and faculty

Professor Joy Vandervort Cobb in “Moments of Joy”

Alumna in “A Shaker’s Path”

The Department of Music also presents its Young Artists Series at the College of Charleston, as part of the Piccolo Spoleto Festival. All performances take place at noon on campus.

The Early Music Series is produced by Steve Rosenberg, chair of the Department of Music, and most performances featured faculty, students and alumni.

The College of Charleston Opera will present “Gianni Schicchi” and the College of Charleston Concert Choir will present a free concert as part of the Festival of Churches and Synagogues.
